Summer is here and I want to offer a word of thanks to our choir, guest musicians, and members from our congregation for making this past year so full of wonderful music. The willingness to share your talents is amazing, and you’ve enriched our worship experience. At the same time, without a permanent accompanist on staff things feel a bit unsettled. We have had some excellent applicants in the past couple of weeks, however, and I sense our search will soon be over.
I’m excited for the summer. I’ll be taking the Total Conductor Immersion through the University of Washington and hope to return to our choir with new ideas and inspiration from that experience. I’ll also be one of the directors for Broadway Bound Children’s Theater this summer doing Frozen: The Musical, and Annie. That should be quite the undertaking! I've already done week one and the kids are a blast, albeit a major handful. Wish me luck!
I sincerely hope you all enjoy what are some the best few months the Pacific Northwest has to offer. I will be visiting worship occasionally throughout the next couple of months, and look forward to returning again as choir director in the fall. For those interested, choir will resume on September 7th with rehearsals only until September 21st when we sing in worship for the first time. Consider joining us or referring a friend if you haven’t in the past or have and wish to come back.
All are welcome!
