On Praying For Others By: Noel Montgomery

We can see the truth in others as we pray for them. If you look at an ant the world is an overwhelming jungle of obstacles. In a completely opposite view such as an astronaut, the world is a beautiful living jewel.

Before I pray I center my awareness in the Pure Presence of Being. With a cleansing breath I move my attention away from the level of obstacles to the level of divine potential always present. As I speak the names of those I pray for I see them as they truly are: an expression of Divine wisdom, life, and love. Our view should not be a level of challenge but at the level of possibilities. Our prayers should not be fixed on anything but to know the Divine unfolds in perfect ways within each of those we pray for.

Matthew 14:23 says and after he dismissed the crowds he went up to the mountain by himself to pray. Psalm 49:3 says my mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.
